Powerball Winning Numbers For 01/13/2021 Drawing: $550M Jackpot

Here are the winning Powerball numbers for the $550 million lottery jackpot drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.

    Deb Belt , Patch Staff

The Powerball lottery jackpot has grown to more than half-a-billion dollars — $550 million — for the player who has the winning ticket on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The one-time cash payout for tonight’s Powerball drawing is $411.4 million, lottery officials said.

The winning Powerball numbers are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results usually posted within 5 minutes.

Ticket sales end at least one hour before the drawing in most states, but a state may halt sales earlier, such as Illinois, which stops sales three hours before the drawing. In Maryland and New Jersey, ticket sales end at 9:59 p.m.; in Virginia, they close at 10 p.m. Check with your state lottery for the cut-off time.

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, Jan. 13, are: 04, 19, 23, 25, 49 and the Powerball of 14.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $1.586 billion, which was split by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016.

To win the Powerball jackpot, a player must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are one in 292,201,338, which doesn’t change even if more players buy tickets when the jackpot is enormous.

You have a better chance of winning the Powerball jackpot if you let the computer select your numbers, according to lottery officials. About 75 percent of winning tickets over the years had numbers picked by a computer.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each. Find locations where you can buy your Powerball tickets here.

These are the five largest Powerball jackpots in the game’s history

  • $1.586 billion, Jan. 13, 2016
  • $768.4 million, March 27, 2019
  • $758.7 million, Aug. 23, 2017
  • $688 million, Oct. 27, 2018
  • $590.5 million, May 18, 2013

Winners can choose to either have the full jackpot amount paid out in 30 installments over 29 years, or winners can take one lump sum payment that is smaller than the actual total.

Powerball Winning Numbers For 01/13/2021 Drawing: $550M Jackpot – Annapolis, MD – Here are the winning Powerball numbers for the $550 million lottery jackpot drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.

Powerball results for 01/13/21; did anyone win the $556M jackpot?

Powerball is played each Wednesday and Saturday night.

LANSING, MI – Three players in Michigan won $1 million as did several other players across the country, but there was no winner of the $556 million jackpot for the drawing held on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

That means the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Jan. 16 will be worth $640 million with a cash option of $478.7 million.

The Powerball Numbers (white) for Jan. 13: 4-19-23-25-49

The Red Powerball Power Number: 14

The Power Play Number: 2

Powerball winners for Jan. 13:

· While there was no grand prize winner, 11 players matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million. Those tickets were sold in California, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, New York, Texas and Virginia. Two of those winners were sold in California, three in Michigan and two others in Texas.

· Only the player in Virginia also played the Power Play option which increased their winnings to $2 million

· Prior to the drawing, the jackpot increased from $550 million to $556 million.

· In Michigan, three tickets sold won $1,000,000 in the drawing. That was the largest prize won in the state.

· Those tickets were sold at Food Max Supermarket, 27333 Cherry Hill, Inkster, the Kroger store located at 1100 W Argyle St, Jackson and Joe Hall Quick Stop Inc, 244 Joe Hall Dr, Ypsilanti.

· There were 3,322,327 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing. In Michigan, 106,059 tickets sold won at least $4 in the drawing.

Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.

In other Michigan Lottery news:

· The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, Jan. 15 with an estimated jackpot of $750 million and a cash option of $550.6 million.

· The next Lotto 47 drawing is Saturday, Jan. 16 at 7:29 p.m. with a jackpot of $1.05 million. Deadline is 7:08 p.m. that day.

· Thursday’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is an estimated $110,000. The drawing is at 7:29 p.m. Deadline is 7:08 p.m.

For the latest on Michigan Lottery, check out the official Michigan Lottery site, which also offers more information on instant tickets, raffles and other lottery games.

The last player from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis of Waterford who won $70 million playing Powerball in February. With her winnings, Davis said she planned to buy a new house and car.

And while she was a lucky winner, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a winner worth $1 million sold in Hartland in 2019 went unclaimed. The ticket was purchased at the Speedway in Hartland, but the winner never came forward to claim the prize. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.

If you’d like to be the next player from Michigan to win a huge lottery prize, take a look at these tips from lottery expert Richard Lustig. The author of “Learn How To Increase Your Chances Of Winning The Lottery” has won more than $1 million in Florida by winning top jackpot prizes in smaller games.

NutriO2 Review

The Lotto Crusher website is little more than a link to a low-budget video explaining the Lotto Crusher system. The video does nothing to tell you how long it is and offers little in terms of graphics.

It’s merely a long, drawn out story about a person who won the lottery so many times that a convenience store owner pointed a gun at him because he was tired of paying off so many winning lotto tickets, a tale that would be too convoluted to believe even if it were the opening scene in a low-budget horror movie.

After the anecdote about the convenience store clerk, the person in the video talks about making thousands of dollars playing the lottery and all of the wonderful things he was able to do with the money, like pay off his debts and take his family on vacation.

He then reads letters people have written to him thanking him for their success winning the lotto. However, there’s no way to authenticate these letters, and most are written in a generic way that makes one suspicious regarding whether or not they are real.

The voice in the video is a man named Everett Thompson, although he doesn’t introduce himself until late in the video, which is an odd choice. However, there’s no information on the Lotto Crusher site about him.

A Google search provides no other information, as the only pages that come up are related to the Lotto Crusher system and whether or not it is a legitimate system. During the video, Everett claims on to be a mathematician, but there’s no way to confirm this or any credentials he may have.

FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winners who want to receive a single Cash Option payment must claim their prizes within the first 60 days of the 180-day redemption period. Applicable federal income taxes will be withheld from both Cash Option and annual payments at the time payments are made. Read more about claiming Lottery prizes.

1 6 Richtige + SZ 12,8 Prozent 1x 139.838.160
2 6 Richtige 10 Prozent 9x 15.537.573
3 5 Richtige + SZ 5 Prozent 258x 542.008
4 5 Richtige 15 Prozent 2.322x 60.223
5 4 Richtige + SZ 5 Prozent 13.545x 10.324
6 4 Richtige 10 Prozent 121.905x 1.147
7 3 Richtige + SZ 10 Prozent 246.820x 567
8 3 Richtige 45 Prozent 2.221.380x 63
9 2 Richtige + SZ fester Betrag 1.851.150x 76

lottery numbers from lost

Jackpot for ‘Lost’ lottery numbers

When Mega Millions conducted its lottery drawing on Tuesday night, millions of “Lost” fans wondered, Haven’t we seen those numbers before?

On the television show, the character Hugo “Hurley” Reyes played the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 and ended up winning the $114-million jackpot. In real life, the lotto’s selections for its $355-million prize — 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and the crucial “Mega ball,” 42 — included four of Hurley’s numbers. According to the Mega Millions website, which reported receiving “unprecedented traffic” after the drawing, 41,763 people matched those four numbers, earning $150 apiece.

Of course, there’s no way to tell just how many of those people were playing all of Hurley’s numbers. But “Lost” executive producer Damon Lindelof celebrated by tweeting his own figures. “9,078 people played Hurley’s numbers in the MegaMillions tonight, each winning $150,” he wrote, “#THATSSORAVEN.”

Jorge Garcia, the actor who played Hurley on the show, wasn’t quite feeling that same warm-fuzzy vibe. “When will you people learn?” he wrote on his blog. “The numbers are bad!” At least they were for Hurley: “Lost” followers will remember that, shortly after claiming his bounty from the fictional “Mega Lotto Jackpot,” Hurley discovered that his luck was cursed. His house soon burned down, and he was mistaken for a drug dealer by the police.

Already, Garcia’s girlfriend Bethany Leigh Shady reported that he was facing a few misfortunes of his own. “A tabloid news show just showed up at our FRONT DOOR hoping to get an intvw with Jorge about last night’s lotto #s,” she tweeted. “Is this really our life?”

The numbers were a major recurring theme on “Lost,” which ended last year after six seasons. They appeared again and again in the lives of several characters, showing up in major plotlines (the numbers needed to be entered into a computer to keep the island safe) and background ambience (in one scene, athletes jogged by with the numbers on their jerseys), causing fans to obsess about their significance. Toward the end of the series, it was revealed that Jacob, a mysterious god-like figure on the island, had assigned the numbers to the chosen people he’d hoped to lure to the island. The castaways’ names corresponded to different numbers: Locke was 4, Hurley was 8, Sawyer was 15, Sayid was 16, Jack was 23, and one of the Kwons was 42.

Online, die-hard conspiracy theorists insist the numbers are cursed. On Twitter, fans pointed out that the winning “Lost” numbers were chosen during a week when thousands of fish died and birds fell from the Arkansas sky. Is there some kind of metaphysical significance behind the Mega Million picks? If not, Carlton Cuse, another executive producer on the show, didn’t want to get into it. “I’m sure there is a larger, mystical reason this happened,” he tweeted, “but in this case if it never gets explained, don’t blame me or Damon.”

Hurley’s Numbers From ‘Lost’ Prove Lucky In Mega Millions Lottery

Newsday reports there are two winning Mega Millions jackpot tickets in last night’s $355 million dollar lottery drawing: one from Idaho and one from Washington State. They’ll split the second largest grand prize the game’s ever had. Isn’t that exciting? Sure – if you’re not stuck on the ‘Lost’ island.

The winning numbers are 4, 8, 15, 25, 47. and the Mega Ball number is 42.

Some of these numbers were used by Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes in the ABC drama, Lost in winning his jackpot, but as Losties know, the numbers control much, much more than just money. Still CNN says if you played Hurley’s numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42), you still won $150.

Hurley wins the lottery.

Fellow Losties: I always preferred Hurley as Jacob’s successor, but unless Lapidus is piloting, I’m still sitting next to Jack on the plane, even if I have to move Rose or maybe Bernard (in the original) or Desmond (in the flash-sideways). Non-Losties: we’re still annoying.

If you played the numbers that were such a big part of the TV show, you would have enjoyed a $150 payback on a $1 ticket. Not the $355 million grand prize, but not bad.

‘Still in some shock’: North Carolina COVID-19 nurse wins $1 million second-chance lottery drawing

Most people dream of winning the lottery, but making poor choices can turn your life into a nightmare. Buzz60’s Sean Dowling has more. Buzz60

When a North Carolina nurse received a phone call saying she’d won the lottery, she thought she was being scammed.

Terri Watkins, who told the North Carolina Education Lottery she works in the “COVID unit at a long-term care facility,” won a $1 million second-chance drawing. In a press release, the lottery said winners receive calls or emails informing them of their winnings.

“You’re telling a story,” Watkins said in a phone conversation with the NC Education Lottery representative who told her she won. “I don’t believe you.”

She’s still having some trouble accepting her luck.

“I thought that it was not real, couldn’t be real. It’s still something that I really don’t believe, I’m still in some shock here,” she told the lottery.

Watkins was chosen from more than 513,000 entrants in the state’s “Supreme Riches” second-chance drawing, the North Carolina education lottery said in a press release. It was the fourth and final second-chance drawing for the scratch-off.

A second-chance drawing offers extra chances to win for people who buy certain tickets, according to the lottery’s website.

“Just seeing some of the things that I’ve had to see, I am very thankful,” Watkins told the lottery. “I had been praying for something to help me with this situation. It really is a great thing. I’m very blessed.”

The Durham, North Carolina, woman had two options for her winnings: She could take a $1 million prize paid in annual installments of $50,000, or a one-time payment of $600,000. She opted for the one-time payment and took home $424,500 after taxes, the lottery reported.

Watkins told the lottery she planned to take her time figuring out what she’d do with her winnings.

“I would love a new home, but I’ve just got to take time and put it in the right place,” she said, according to the lottery.

The North Carolina Education Lottery contributed more than $709 million to education programs across the state during the 2018-2019 school year, according to the lottery’s website.

Nationwide, Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots have increased to $640 million and $750 million, respectively. Both are among the largest prizes in U.S. lottery history, though still a ways off from the $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot split by three winners in 2016.

Terri Watkins won a $1 million drawing from the North Carolina Education Lottery, taking home more than $400,000 in cash.

Wilmington sees two NC Lottery Powerball drawing winners

Tickets bought at two Wilmington stores resulted in more than $150,000 won through the North Carolina lottery.

A $150,000 prize and a $50,000 prize were won in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. The $3 Power Play ticket that won $150,000 was sold at The Scotchman on Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington and the ticket that won $50,000 was sold at the Circle K on Market Street in Wilmington.

As for the weekend, the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots add up to nearly $1 billion dollars, giving North Carolinians two chances to take home a life-changing jackpot in this weekend’s drawings.

The estimated annuity jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing is $510 million. If won, it would be the 8th-largest jackpot in the game’s history. The estimated cash value is $377.4 million. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million.

North Carolinians also have a chance at a big jackpot win in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing stands at an estimated $470 million as an annuity prize, or $362.7 million cash.

If won, this would be the 10th largest jackpot in Powerball game history. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

“It’s great to see North Carolinians winning big prizes in our Mega Millions and Powerball games,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “While these two jackpots are exciting to see, remember that it only takes one ticket to win.”

Mega Millions and Powerball have combined jackpots of nearly $1 billion for the Friday and Saturday drawings. This is the highest the combined jackpots have been since October 2018.

Players can buy $2 Powerball or Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location, through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or by using the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

Ticket sales from draw games make it possible for the lottery to raise more than $725 million a year for education. For details on how lottery funds have made a difference in all of North Carolina’s 100 counties, click on the “Impact” section of the lottery’s website.

Look Ma! We’re on TV! 2019 Was a great year for Ethical Frenchie, one of many lessons and many new friends. So it was only fitting that we would receive a random call from Animal Actors Inc telling us that “we’re up next”. The read carpet was roleld out and our babies were ready.

Behind The Scenes!

Since we didn’t exactly have the diversity of puppies needed we jumped on the phone and called our customers whom had recently adopted puppies from us to ask “Would you like to see your puppy on TV!?” Every single family responded relucantly 🙁 which shows exactly how passionate our furever homes are when we place puppies. Alas, we found a couple extra to stand in with the puppies of ours and it was lights camera action! Below are some of the clips of what its like on a real tv commercial shoot (And of course, They were the most popular attraction on the whole film studio lot)

A dynamic VFX relay race for the New York Lottery

Brief

We were approached by McCann to create a heartwarming, yet dynamic relay-race story of a park ranger being reunited with her lost ticket in the form of a 60-second ad for New York Lottery. A story brimming with magical realism and embodying the holiday spirit, the film had to be set in a NY state park, using a cast of NY native animals working together to get the job done.

Approach

Creatively, we wanted to create a highly cinematic film, infused with magic, but grounded in reality. We worked from our extensive library of animated characters and designed scenarios that would motivate the animal handovers in a believable way.

Impact

A magical 60-second Holiday ad that captured hearts and imaginations across the US over TV and online during the 2019 Holiday season. The ad was also covered extensively within the media, with features including Creativity, The Drum and Shoot.

The creative challenge of this project was creating a series of high fidelity photo-real creatures within a short timeframe, requiring a highly collaborative approach. Working across both New York and LA, our VFX teams recruited a series of creative tricks to optimize time and resources.

Given the limited timeframe, our approach was to previs the animal scenes prior to the shoot. The previs heavily informed the final edit, allowing the animation teams to begin work before the shoot, effectively doubling their time to craft and finesse the final animated sequences.

“We optimized the time we had by working closely with Director Ben Smith and Editor Ryan McKenna to create a solid previs that was able to inform the shoot,” comments Lead Animator Katie Yancey. “Since we had already nailed down what each shot was going to look like, we were able to progress into animation straight from previs while the shoot was still occurring. This well-planned pre-production allowed us the time we needed to refine the animation to the level of realism the project required.”

The shoot took place in woodlands in upstate NY over two days, both with incredible contrasting weather conditions. This provided a creative challenge for the team, who had to ensure through light balance and the addition of matte paintings that the footage captured felt consistent with the dark and whimsical tone of the film.

It was then up to the animation and 2D teams to seamlessly integrating both live-action and CG footage to bring a Rabbit, Bird, Turtle, Deer, and Raccoon to life.

Ed Boldero, lead CG artist comments, “Using a combination of Maya and Houdini, we paired both real and CG creatures, matching them to appear to exist in the same world. The ultimate goal was to use our craft to give a sense of magic to the story whilst also maintaining hyperrealism. ”

Using The Mill’s extensive library of CGI animal assets, the VFX team expertly animated a fully CGI Bird and Deer, whilst augmenting live-action footage with animated CGI elements for the rabbit, turtle, and raccoon. The result is a photoreal menagerie of woodland creatures who work together to ensure our hero character’s New York Lottery ticket is safely returned.
