Lottery Sales Representative (District Lottery Representative – Philadelphia Area Office)

The Pennsylvania Lottery is seeking an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory.

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product, guidance and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also use your sales skills to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network and provide strategies that will help them succeed. WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday
8:30 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hr/wk)
Lunch Period: 30 Minutes

There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 am to 7:30 pm for one week to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will be required to navigate a web based portal and be PC and iPad proficient, read and interpret sales data, communicate effectively with business owners and customers the value of Lottery products, and detailed information about procedures and the products, interact and engage players at retailer events, work with other sales representatives at retailer events and, when necessary, while conducting normal business, lift/carry up to 40 lbs., work overtime on a limited basis, and work/drive in all types of weather conditions.

About the Position:

  • This position is home headquartered and the employee would be expected to report to their area office on a weekly basis.
  • This position is covered by the AFSCME Union.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work, or any equivalent experience and training.
